If you're tired of the slick feel and sportswear shine, another logo on another polyester polo isn't much of a change. Start with the fabric.

01 Look past the logo

A premium price doesn't change polyester into natural fiber

98 % of golfwear is made from polyester, for one reason: it's cheap to mass-produce.

Polyester has a less fashionable name: PET. It's the same plastic used in water bottles, spun into fine fibers instead of molded into a bottle. You wear it against your skin for four hours in the sun, and odor-causing bacteria grow better on it than anything else.

The savings go to the massive corporations. The plastic goes on you.

02 What leaves the fabric

Polyester floods your bloodstream with toxins

Four hours in the sun. Sweat running down your back. A plastic shirt pressed against your skin the entire round while chemicals added to plastics can leach into sweat and pass through the skin, and that sweatier skin absorbed more.

We'd rather you didn't spend four hours in plastic. 

Thus, we built a polo built from plant-derived cellulose.

03 The hours against your skin

Switch to natural fiber

The slick surface. The synthetic sheen,  you don't have to keep buying it.

Biome is made from lyocell, a smooth fiber made from eucalyptus pulp, and field grown cotton. Together they feel soft and cool against your skin, with a natural matte look instead of a plastic shine.

50% lyocell. 44% cotton. 

We chose this blend for the experience: softness at the collar, a fluid drape across the body, and a matte surface you can see in daylight. The remaining 6% adds stretch.

How do I choose the right size?

Open the size guide on the product page and compare its body measurements with your own. The product photography and model notes give another fit reference before you choose.

Will it feel different from my polyester polo?

Biome is designed around a soft hand, matte surface, and fluid drape. Polyester polos vary with knit and finish, so we don't claim that every one feels the same. If you prefer a cotton-and-lyocell hand to slick sportswear, that's the difference this polo is built around.

Where can I check care, delivery, and returns?

The product page includes a care guide and size information. Check the store's current shipping and return policies before ordering, and follow the care label supplied with your garment.

A note on the evidence. The bottle comparison refers to PET, a polymer used in both polyester textiles and many drinks bottles. It does not mean every polyester shirt is made from recycled bottles. The shedding research concerns other textiles, not testing of Biome; it does not establish that wearing a polyester polo causes illness. Biome contains 6% synthetic stretch and is not plastic-free. Material origin alone does not establish a garment's overall environmental impact.
